To ensure proper use of your lighter, follow these steps for optimal performance. First, release all tank pressure and excess air from the lighter by holding it upside down and gently pressing on the inlet valve with a XIKAR Tune Up Tool (not included). Second, hold the refill can upside down so that the butane settles at the bottom and the propellant rises to the top, pushing the butane out. Do not shake the refill can. Third, insert the nozzle of the refill can into the valve and press and hold to fill the lighter. Allow the lighter to stabilize and warm up for 5 minutes before use.
